Keep in mind that this outline is to give you a general idea of what to expect on a trip with SaND Travel but itineraries are not finalized until 2 weeks before departure. That is when you will receive more details about excursions, transportation, accommodations and everyone’s favorite - food!

Pre-Trip

Before the adventure begins we will host a workshop to make sure you are prepared for the experience. You will get to meet other participants traveling at the same time as you and the team! We will be going into more detail about what to expect during the experience, provide materials like packing-list and schedule breakdown and have our first reflection space. We will be answering questions and leaving you excited for the journey. 

Day 1 - Departure 

SaND Travel programs depart from MSP or LAX on the date scheduled
Flights arrive in Mexico City afternoon/evening 
Local guides provide welcome orientation
Daily reflection activity

Day 2 - Mexico City

Orientation with local guides providing historical context over Mexican breakfast
City exploration!
Evening debrief with hosted dinner.  
Evening bus to Puebla (approx. 2.5 hours)

Day 3 - Cholula/Tecuanipan

Breakfast with local team with introduction to artisan coffee production
Transportation to Enlaces Comunitarios Internacionales (el Centro) in Tecuanipan
Prepare and share lunch with local families with fresh food from garden
Afternoon activities with host families
Introduction to life in Cholula with local team (including restaurant recommendations)
Daily reflection activity

Day 4 - Cholula/Tecuanipan

The return flights arrive in MSP or LAX late in the evening. Keep in mind that customs can take some time to complete when planning your transportation from the airport. 

Please note - departure for all trips are from MSP or LAX. Travel to and from these airports in not included in the price of you ticket.
